HPgV infection and cryptogenic hepatitis: clinical observation

The causative agent of HPgV infection (HGV, GBV-C) was first described as hepatitis G virus, which not confirmed during further researches. Human pegivirus-1 cannot be the cause and is even pathogenic. article presents an autopsy observation fulminant course unclear etiology with persistence. Given difficulties in establishing cryptogenic hepatitis, initially, when analyzing this case, it proposed to link presence development hepatitis. Despite detection virus blood clinic, there are no causal relationships between these phenomena, provides data from various wide spread human population absence its etiological role pathological processes shown.
